A Clean Home and Business Provides a Safe Environment
As we continue to live and work during the pandemic, Premiere Building Maintenance wants to make sure everyone stays safe. Wearing a mask, practicing social distancing, staying home when sick, washing hands, and using hand sanitizer are key ingredients for safety. Another huge factor of safety is a clean environment in our homes, business, and other places we visit.
The CDC recommends reducing the potential spread of Covid-19 by cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces such as tables, doorknobs, light switches, handles, desks, toilets, and sinks. Reducing contaminated areas are key to ensuring a safe environment. It is also important to understand the differences between cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting. Below is an informative video on the differences.
Start by ensuring you have the correct protective equipment for cleaning and disinfecting. At minimum you should use gloves before cleaning and disinfecting (preferably disposable gloves) and throw them away after use. Thoroughly wash your hands after removing the gloves. Check chemical labels to find what equipment is required with each task. This equipment can include protective footwear, eye and respiratory protection, or other forms of protection.
Being sure to both clean and disinfect major surfaces periodically is key in ensuring you are in a clean environment. Now that you understand the major points of a clean environment, you can feel confident in cleaning your home or business.
