COVID-19 Safety Manager Certification

During this pandemic, Premiere’s #1 goal has been to ensure the safety of our employees and customers. Staying up to date on all local, state, and federal laws that involve the health and safety of employees is paramount.

For several months, Premiere’s HR Director Monica Savage participated in training courses created using the guidelines and regulations set by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and conducted by employment law professionals. The training included updates on FMLA, FFCRA, and ADA; OSHA requirements for COVID-19; testing and temperature checks; and the importance of PPE and the employer’s responsibility.

After completion of this training, participants receive the designation of COVID-19 Safety Manager.  The training detailed:

  • How the guidelines of the CDC work with the rules and regulations of OSHA
  • Individual safety measures and the importance of good personal hygiene and use of PPE
  • The extended rights for the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
  • How the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) and Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act (EPSLA) work
