Celebrating MLK As a Day of Service

What you may not know is that MLK day is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service calling the day “a day on, not a day off.” As a way to exemplify the teachings of Dr. King, citizens are encouraged to engage in a volunteer opportunity aimed at improving local communities around the country.
Premiere would like to inspire fellow business to find ways to improve the communities around them this Monday and year-round. Dr. King believed, “Everyone can be great because everybody can serve.”
AmeriCorps and The King Center lead the charge in promoting service work every MLK day. If you would like to find out more about what MLK day is about or how you can serve your community, click on the links below to view their sites.
